I can’t believe the archive list grew so long… Well, fear not, I’ve hacked it a bit, now it’s has Year » Month levels. Enjoy!

The latest addition is the dropdown menu you can see above. The links and the archives moved up there from the sidebar, so it got shorter. Size does matter, now if someone reads a single post (or a page), the sidebar won’t overgrow the screen too much – it’s still more than one screenful, but not obesively anymore.

I’ll start a new poll about the menubar soon, or you’re welcome to state your opinions here.

I still have some ideas for next.

I’ve just upgraded to WordPress 2.8, and I already love the new update. For now I only noticed the change in the admin interface design, and it works for me.

Update: I also made the sidebar have a dual coloumn part… and since I had more space, I also filled it up. Way to create more crowded sidebars and not making it shorter as originally intended…

I find my front page a tad bit too long. I’m considering the use of a double sidebar (i.e. two coloumn sidebar on the right), and showing only a snippet of the posts, so you would have to click on a “read more” link. I know it’s my blog, but here’s your chance to express your thoughts about this upcoming change.

I’ve moved the sidebar from right to left – somehow it seems much more logical this way to me. Might put it back though. I’ll see.

Update: the changes clashed with the commentbox. (I have Déja Vu…) Might go into that later, now I CBA. I put the sidebar back where it was.

Since I’m getting more and more spams in comments, I decided to restrict commenting to registered users. However, anyone can register for free of corse, it’s just to filter out spambots. Use the Register link in the Meta secton to the right to register, and the Login to log in.

First, let me warn those 8 people who still came through the old http://edem.no-ip.info address to update their bookmarks: that address will die anytime soon.

I’ve installed google analytics. It shows I had 53 visitors last week, and that’s good. Also it shows that apart from those who came directly, or through the redirect set at the old address, the most people came from Enkara’s blog. A virtual cake for her!

Searchwords? Edem, <edem>, think edem.

Erm… yeah, pathetic, but it’s a start.

As I promised, I moved again – for the last time. I bought the thinkedem.hu domain, and from now on I’ll blog at the http://blog.thinkedem.hu address.

I certainly will have some slight changes. For one, the link section was pruned – the links I haven’t moved here will go to the main page. Also the pictures couldn’t be simply imported, I’ll have to spend some time readding them.

Anyways… welcome to the new, final site!
